Bryan J. Smith
2025-02-20

Bryan J. Smith, 79, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday,

February 18th, 2025. Born in Astoria, New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Agnes (Griffin) Smith.

Bryan began working at Knoll when he was 18 years and retired after 54 years in 2017. When Bryan retired, he was the longest tenured employee of Knoll in East Greenville, PA. Bryan loved his job and looked forward to going to work every day.

But to Bryan, family was his everything. Eating dinner together on Friday nights at Chiaro's in Green Lane at our round table and going shopping and to lunch on Saturday's were the highlights of his week. Bryan loved to cook and held all the holiday celebrations at his home where he enjoyed hosting his entire family.

Bryan is survived by his daughters: Lisa Smith-Mellen and Lauren Smith; Bill Mellen, father and stepfather to Bryan's grandchildren: Alisa and Tyler (fiancée Olivia) Blevins, and Bryan and Kyleigh Mellen; sisters-in-law: Diane Lamphere (husband William), Debra Breiner; his ex-wife: Gail Liskiewicz (husband John); nieces and a nephew: John Flath, (wife Megan) Sheri Weber (husband Nathanael) and Jessi Lamphere. He was predeceased in death by his sister: Maureen Flath (husband John).

Per Bryan's request, there will be no public service. A private celebration of life will be held this summer for family.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
