Fern Roth
2025-02-17

Fern Roth, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished

member of the Red Hill community, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at the age of 98.

Born on February 6, 1927, in Red Hill, PA, Fern dedicated her life to her family and her many passions, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl R. Roth.

Fern graduated from East Greenville High School in 1944. Her senior year class yearbook described her as "the star athlete of the senior class and she was best known for her remarkable ability in basketball".

After graduation, she embarked on a successful career as a secretary, contributing her talents to the Lechner and Stauffer Insurance Company for 25 years. Her professional achievements were matched only by her commitment to her community.

A devoted member of the Perkiomen Chapter #318 Order of the Eastern Star for 59 years, she served with distinction as Worthy Matron in 1980-1981. Additionally, Fern was actively involved with the Order of the Amaranth, Dorothy Lim Memorial Court #110, where she was a Past Royal Matron. Her spirit of service also extended to volunteering for thirty years at Pennsburg's Community Thrift Shop, demonstrating her dedication to helping others. Fern remained active through her love of bowling and golf.

Fern is survived by her three loving children, Stephen Roth and wife Etta; Linda Grim and husband John, and Thomas Roth and wife Kathy; her treasured grandchildren: Jeanine Roth, Taylor Grim and wife Jana, Evan Roth husband of Ryan, Nicholas Roth husband of Bethany, along with her step-grandchildren, Jacob Rickards and wife Holly and Jamie Rickards. There are also great-grandchildren: Derek, Corey, Sean, Christian, Logan and Avery.

The community will gather to honor Fern's extraordinary life on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Red Hill) 1244 St. Paul's Church Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073. A viewing will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., followed by an Eastern Star Service at 1:45 p.m.  Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial in the church cemetery.           In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the church at the above address.

Online condolences may be offered at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
