Richard (Rich) Michael Rossiter II
2025-01-23

Richard (Rich) Michael Rossiter II, 83, of Red Hill, PA, passed away

peacefully on January 21, 2025. Born on January 4, 1942, in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of the late Richard M. Rossiter and Mary (McDevitt) Rossiter.

Rich proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, embodying the values of honor and service throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Ruth (Vogel) Rossiter, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and resilience.

He is survived by his son, Richard ("Rick") M. Rossiter III, and daughter-in-law, Sharon L. (Barrage) Rossiter. Rich was a proud grandfather to Ryan M. Rossiter and Erica L. Rossiter, who brought immense joy to his life. He was also a cherished brother to the late Gerald Rossiter, late Marie ("Rearea") Snow, and Eleanor Cole.

Rich was a proud alumnus of Northeast Catholic High School and a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He worked for General Refractories in Bala Cynwyd for over thirty years as a computer programmer, dedicating his career to innovation and problem-solving.

He was an avid bowler and enjoyed coaching youth baseball, sharing his love of sports with the next generation. His passion for sports was matched only by his love for his family and his faithful canine companion, Maggie, who was by his side through thick and thin.

In honoring Rich's wishes, services will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.

You may offer condolences or share memories by visiting www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com
