Barbara Ramnes Kelly
2025-01-10

            Barbara Ramnes Kelly, 94, died peacefully at The Lodge at Old Trail on January 4, 2025, after a brief illness.

            Born in Mechanicville, NY on April 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Thelma Whaite Ramnes.  She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School.

            Barbara lived many years of her life in Ambler, Pennsylvania. She lived with her daughter for many years until recently moving to Charlottesville, VA, to be closer to her son.

            Barbara enjoyed poetry, reading, crossword puzzles, and had a great sense of humor, always sharing jokes or puns with others. She was very active at the Ambler Library and Ambler Senior Center where she delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.

            Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J Kelly, her son Thomas J Kelly Jr, and her brother Bernard Ramnes.

            Survivors include her children Bernard (Karen) Kelly, of New Jersey, Robert (Heather) Kelly of Virginia, and Susan (Richard) MacIntyre of Pennsylvania. Also her grandchildren Bex, Eleanor, Joshua, Connor, Jenna, Meghan (fiance Jonathan Gortman), and Duncan, and great grandchildren Alex, Ollie, Madeline, and Isabelle.

            Funeral services will be held followed by burial in Mettowee Valley Cemetery, Granville, NY.
