UPHS Freshmen Explore Career Opportunities
2024-11-27

On November 19th and 20th, Upper Perkiomen High School freshmen students had the opportunity to connect with local businesses and explore potential career paths through the PerkUp "Pathways to Success" Business Tour program. Twenty-three participating businesses opened their doors to students, providing hands-on experiences and insights into a wide range of professions and opportunities as part of the school district's career readiness curriculum.

During the tours, students engaged with industry professionals, asking questions and learning about roles they may not have previously considered. The experience offered valuable exposure to the many career opportunities available in the community.

The PerkUp "Pathways to Success" Business Tour program is sponsored by Verizon.

Participating businesses included: Bear Creek Mountain Resort & Conference Center, Bike & Sol, Bracalente Manufacturing Company, Inc., Gillespie Electric, Inc., Grand View Health, Keystone Tax Service of Pennsburg, LLC, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Marlborough Township Police Department, MillerKnoll, The Open Link, Perkiomen Animal Hospital, QNB Bank, Quaker Pointe Orthodontics, Reed Sign Company, Root to Recovery, LLC, St. Luke's Penn Foundation, St. Luke's University Health Network – Quakertown | Upper Bucks Campus, Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, Titanium Finishing Company, Upper Montgomery Joint Authority, Upper Perk Police Department, Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA and US Tape Company.
