More than One Victim
2024-09-19

The loss of life is a tragedy.  Any death is mourned by someone.

Over this past weekend a life was lost during a reported domestic incident in East Greenville.

A life was lost, family members will mourn, and a police officer will live with this the rest of his life.

I support the police and the initial report distributed by the Montgomery County District Attorney's office. I wait for the investigation to be completed and all "t's" to be crossed and all "i's" to be dotted.

I hope you do the same.

Social media never carries the same weight as the DA's signature on a permanent, legal document.

Neither does a gossiping neighbor or a person looking for stardom on a social media page who will say anything for some screen time.

You say the information isn't coming out fast enough?  I'd rather get it on time and right than fast and wrong.

Everybody, including you and me, deserves the respect of people until the investigation is completed and the facts are in it.  Tell us what happened.

In tragedies like this, there is always more than one victim.  Respect them all.
