National Night Out in Marlborough Twp. on Saturday
Written by Larry Roeder, Editor
2024-08-07

Marlborough Township Police will again hold a "National Night Out" event.  The community building campaign to promote police-community partnerships will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 3-6 p.m. at St. John's Church, 3104 Main St., Sumneytown, PA.

The department has been holding the annual event since 2019.

The free event will feature music, games, and food.  It is an opportunity for residents to meet local first responders, including representatives from area police and PA State Police, fire, emergency medical service personnel, the Montgomery County District Attorney's office and the Montgomery County Detectives, and many more.

In addition, Community Health and Dental, Harleysville Bank, Laurel House, Lions Club, Mission Kids, Montgomery County Mobile Crisis, Montgomery County Dept. of Public Safety, PA Game Commission, PA State Rep Mackenzie, Penn Foundation, Project Live, Sen Tracy Pennycuick, Veterans Response Team, Woman's Center, Montgomery County Park Rangers, PA Fish and Boat, National Guard, and a K9 unit demonstration.  There will be related exhibits, safety demonstrations, and youth events.  There will also be a hayride this year.

Hundreds of people attended last year's event.   Visitors can follow signs for parking at the church.

If inclement weather cancels the event, the Marlborough Township Police Department will announce it on Friday night or Saturday morning on their social media platforms.  There is no rain date.
