Doris E. (Riddle) Wendell
2024-06-04

            Doris E. (Riddle) Wendell, 88, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully 

on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Quakertown Center surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Donald N. Wendell.

            Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Anderson) Riddle.

            After graduating high school, Doris held various jobs throughout her life. She retired in 2005 from New Directions Treatment Services as a specimen technician. 

            Doris had a zest for life and enjoyed swimming, trips to Cape May and Chincoteague Island, row boating and tending to her beautiful flower garden. She also loved dogs and cats.

            She will be missed dearly by her daughter, Debra, wife of Alan Grout; two sons, Donald and David Wendell; two grandchildren, Robert Grout and girlfriend Samantha Bisbing and Kelly Grout and husband, Ryan Manion; and two great-grandchildren, Rhett and Adalaide Manion.

            In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by brothers Ralph and Joseph Riddle.

            Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

            Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
