Tom’s Help Desk Can Help You
Written by Larry Roeder, Editor
2024-05-22

A computer or network problem can quickly send a small business into a panic.  Not knowing what to do about it can be catastrophic for that business.

The complexity of purchasing or installing a new home computer system, or facing problems with that new computer, may leave some buyers feeling that they got less than what they paid for.

That's when it's good to know you have a "help desk" to turn to for expert

service.

Tom's Help Desk, in Milford Square, PA, has been providing quality service for 19 years.

Recognizing the growing need for dependable computer support for home computer users, small businesses, and those working from home, Tom Merrick founded Tom's Help Desk in 2005.

With a degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University, Tom started the business in the basement of his home.  He has grown the business to include eight employees including four qualified information technology technicians.

Today they operate from their office at 2115 Allentown Road in Quakertown (Milford Township), PA, and provide on-site, in-store and remote access computing solutions to optimize efficiencies and productivity.  Tom's wife, Julia, joined the team as the office manager a few years ago.

Tom's Help Desk provides quality service to more than 5,000 customers in Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties.  Most of them are core repeats – return customers who know a good thing when they found it.

They service all major computer brands and operating systems, set up secure networks, implement data backup strategies, and much more.  They are also an authorized Dell® reseller.

Over the years, Tom's Help Desk has received numerous awards for Best Computer Repair Service and Best Computer Store, among others.  Included in those awards is Best Computer Repair Service for the last seven years by the Penny Power and most recently by the MontCo Happening List in 2024.

The staff responds promptly to inquiries and efficiently assesses your situation.  Then, they will propose a timely solution.  Unlike other helplines, there is no holding the phone for an extended time while your call is randomly sourced out to a technician from who-knows-where.

Tom's Help Desk is local and phone evaluations are always free.

This writer can attest to the quality of service.  Tom's Help Desk is the Town and Country's help desk.
