Charles J. Krupp
2024-05-14

            Charles J. Krupp, 83, of Clayton, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 

2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Rodenberger) Krupp.

            Charles was born September 27, 1940 in Clayton to the late Jacob S. and Estelle (Schultz) Krupp.

            He was a 1958 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School. He was a second generation owner/operator of Clayton Auto Center, Inc. until retiring. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sumneytown, PA.

            Charles loved Indy Car racing and attended the Indianapolis 500 for over 55 years. He also loved spending time with his family, especially taking his 5 grandchildren on the annual camping trip to Bucktail Campground in Mansfield every summer.

            In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by his daughters: Shelley Barndt and husband Paul Jr.; Brenda Hildenbrand and husband Roy; brother: William Krupp and wife Karen; 5 grandchildren: Ryan Barndt, Alyssa Staudt, Sara Barndt, Alicia Longacre, Kirsten Hildenbrand; 10 great-grandchildren: Carter, Gavin, Corbin, Greyson, Harper, Addison, Garrett, Lacey, Caden, and Brooks. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Brey.

            A visitation will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3104 Main St., Green Lane, PA 18054 on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Friedens Union Cemetery.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church at the above address or American Kidney Fund by visiting www.kidneyfund.org.
