Quakertown BPW Supports Autism Awareness
2024-05-08

Quakertown BPW Visits Brewery – Members of the Quakertown Business and Prof-

essional Women's Club wear blue in a tribute to National Autism Acceptance Month

during an April 24 visit to the Perkiomen Valley Brewery, located at 101 Walnut Street,

in Green Lane.

Last month, the Quakertown Business and Professional Women's Club took a field trip to the Perkiomen Valley Brewery, 101 Walnut St., in Green Lane, in honor of National Autism Acceptance Month.

On April 24, club members received insight into the condition and the business from brewery owners Tom and Kelly Weiss, who have two sons on the autism spectrum. The couple talked about securing the building and learning about establishing a brewery.

Tom and Kelly Weiss also provided insight on how they established the brewery business as a workplace for their sons and the fixtures that allow them to cope with the challenges of working in this environment.

From 5:30 to 6 p.m. on May 22, the club will meet at Dominick's Pizza for networking. A visit to "THE DROP" at the Masonic Building on Broad Street, to learn about painting, will follow.

Please contact Nancy Werner at 215-679-6687 if interested in joining the club.
