Donogh K. McDonagh
2024-05-02

Donogh K. McDonagh, 57, of Hereford, passed away unexpectedly

at home on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Born in Huntington, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Gerard and Ann (Kavanagh) McDonagh.

Donogh was raised in Syosset, NY, and then moved to Ireland when he was 12 where he graduated high school in 1985 before making his way back to the United States.

Although he was a self-employed contractor, owning and operating BOK Solutions, family and friends would joke that he was also a jack of all trades but master at none.  A true Irishman, he was the life of any party he attended with his big smile and contagious laugh. He was a genuine person and friend that would drop anything at any time to help someone in need.  His fierce love for his family and friends was matched with his joy for outdoor adventure.

He loved to fish, ride his motorcycle, kayak or just simply be surrounded by nature.

He will be dearly missed by his partner in crime of 5 years, Jamee Cooper; his two sisters, Siobhan Danks and Sheelagh Maiolo; many nieces and nephews, a family tree full of nuts; and his many cherished friends, who became family. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gerad McDonagh and Frank McDonagh.

To know Donogh was to love him, but more accurately it was to laugh with him. He lived life to the fullest and he would want you to remember him with laughter so "raise em high".

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something outdoors to remember him or you can plant a tree in his memory by visiting his book of memories page on www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
