A warehouse and a housing development were given consent on waiver requests by the Upper Hanover Board of Supervisors at their Tuesday, April 9 meeting.
The warehouse, a project of Audubon Land Development, will be located at Route 663 and Quakertown Road. The project received waivers for sidewalks in a section of the development.
Hendricks Group Developers received six waivers for their development at Montgomery Avenue and Mensch Dam Road, known as the Deerfield subdivision.
In roads and bridges news, the supervisors approved a bid of $221,375 from Professional Construction Contractors for repairs to St. Paul's Road bridge. Additionally, final paving on Graber Road was completed on April 8.
Residents of the Vineyards on James Road will be happy to hear that a solution to their speeding and pedestrian crossing issues has been found. A four-way stop will be installed at the crossing to allow pedestrians to cross safely from one side of the community to the other.
In Upper Hanover Authority news, Thomas McCabe was appointed to fill the vacancy on the board.
A Woodbridge Road resident attended the meeting to note his concerns about potential noise from the new pickleball courts at Macoby Run Park. He contacted an expert on pickleball courts and sound mitigation, and the consultant determined that sound on the courts would be at 55 decibels, which the resident said would exceed the township's sound ordinance.
The supervisors met in executive session before the meeting to discuss personnel matters.
