Kenneth A. Hansell Sr.

Kenneth A. Hansell Sr., 83, of Boyertown and formerly of Green Lane,

beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.

He was born in Norristown to the late John and Kathryn (Owens) Hansell of Lafayette Hill (formerly Barren Hill) and graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, class of 1959.

Ken was a proud Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY.  After his service, he was a member of Local #692 Philadelphia Sprinkler Fitters Union until his retirement. For many years following, Ken spent the fall months in South Dakota working at his sister and brother-in-law's pheasant lodge and spent his winter months in Costa Rica. He enjoyed his last few years at Walnut Woods Senior Living Community where he developed a strong fondness for the staff and residents.

Ken was known for his strong work ethic and often went above and beyond what was required of him. He enjoyed being with his family, loved gardening and doing yard work, visiting with his siblings and friends, and watching Philadelphia Sports.  He was also a faithful attender of LCBC Church - Harleysville Campus.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth A. Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Lititz; grandchildren, Brittany H. Siddell and husband Brett of New Orleans, LA and Kenneth A. Hansell III of Austin, TX. Ken also had twelve siblings. Preceding him in death was his brother, Jack Hansell of East Greenville, and he is survived by siblings: Walter Hansell (Carol) of Barto, George Hansell (Peggy) of Norristown, Harry Hansell (Pat) of Oreland, Carolyn Schneider of Gilbertsville, Susan (Penman Wood) of Harleysville, Norman Hansell of Royersford, Earl Hansell of Douglassville, Lynda Krull of Avon Park, FL, Chrissy (Bill Marx) of Plain City, OH, Debbie Mueller of Lansdale and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting or LCBC, 100 Main St., Harleysville, PA 19438.

Online condolences may be offered at
