Louis Dominic Mercaldo Sr., age 91, of Salfordville, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024.

            Born August 3, 1932, in Abington, he was a son of the late Dominic John and Lillian (Boorse) Mercaldo.

            Louis was employed as a carpenter and was a member of the Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Great Swamp Fish and Game and the Souderton Harleysville Fish, Game and Forestry. He enjoyed fly fishing and spending time at his cabin in Wyoming County, PA.

            Louis is survived by his 3 sons Louis D. Mercaldo Jr. and his wife Mary Helen of Perkiomenville, PA, Michael J. Mercaldo of North Wildwood, NJ, Christopher Mercaldo of Salamanca, NY; granddaughter Carrie Clarke and her husband LTC Ed Clarke, retired; great granddaughters Piper, Aliana, Ava of Florida; sisters Claire Mercaldo McGlade of Philadelphia, Lila Mercaldo Bittner of Florida, Nancy Mercaldo Calvanese of Philadelphia, Donna Mercaldo Primavera of New Jersey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Mercaldo Sutton.

            Services for Louis will be at a later date.
