Santa Hobby Becomes A Small Business
2024-02-14

The Quakertown Business and Professional Women's Club met at the John's Plain & Fancy Diner, Route 309, Quakertown where they had the opportunity to hear Jolyn Unangst, of Hellertown, share her love of creating Santas from clay and some hand-sculpted paper mache. Jolyn also shared how a small business can be started from the love of a hobby.

Jolyn made her first Santa back in 1998, and continued making more and more. She was invited to Bethlehem's Christkindlmarkt and her Santas were quickly purchased. Jolyn brought some of her Santas for the members to see.

The members are helping the Quakertown Food Pantry with a specific donation each month. January was a selection of oatmeal boxes.

The club also welcomed five guests and the District Eleven Director Sheryl Nierenberg.

If you are interested in attending a meeting, please call Nancy at 215-679-6687.
