Tobias W. “Toby” Minner
2024-01-13

            Tobias W. "Toby" Minner, of Green Lane, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 surrounded by his family at home.  He was the husband of Louise A. (DeFanti) Minner.

            Toby was born in Bally to the late Wilfrid G. and Grace M. (Benfield) Minner. 

            He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1964.  He worked in the textile industry with Bally Ribbon Mills for 14 years and then worked for 26 years with Fabric Development Inc., Quakertown, PA before retiring.

            Toby's pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he loved spending time with them.  He also loved woodworking, fishing, gardening and horseracing.  He and Louise attended the Senior Center at the Open Link and also volunteered there with Meals on Wheels.

            In addition to his wife of 58 years, Toby is survived by his daughters: Angelina L. Kutz and husband William, of Douglassville; Stephanie L. Minner and fiancé Scott Cantrel, of Freemansburg; Siblings: Marie Minner, of Bally; Michael Minner and wife Carol, of Bally; Colette Lenner and husband James, of Allentown; Anthony Minner and wife Deb, of Bally; grandchildren: Benjamin Kutz and wife Morgan, Ashley Moyer and husband Keaton, Alexander Kutz and companion Abby Vesco, Ryan Muschlitz and fiancée Jennin Lopez and Jordan Muschlitz; great-grandchildrenTristan and Malia Kutz, and Bailey Moyer; and many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas M.  Minner and siblings: Eileen Savarese, Wilfrid Minner and Karen Wolfe. 

            Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m.  Burial will be Northwood Cemetery.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Gift of Life, by visiting www.donors1.org.  or American Heart Association by visiting www.heart.org

            Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
