John “Jack” Mechler
2024-01-11

            John "Jack" Mechler, 78, of East Greenville, passed away on Tuesday,

January 9, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.  He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Grim) Mechler with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

            Jack was born in Allentown to the late Rupert and Amy (Schofer) Mechler.  He was a 1964 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School.  After his service in the Army, Jack was the owner/operator of Jack Mechler Excavating.  In retirement from his business, he had a lawn service for 20 years.

            Jack loved the outdoors, watching the birds and wildlife at his property.  He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Wendy Yambor and husband Craig; Scott Mechler and wife Kara; grandchildren: Marley and Luke Yambor and Magnus Mechler; siblings: Terry Mechler and wife Janice, Linda Eldon and husband Jim; and his beloved cat, Lucky.

            Per Jack's request, there will be no services.
