William R. Keyser
2023-12-29

            William R. Keyser, Sr., of Quakertown and formerly of Pennsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg.  He was 81.

            Born in East Greenville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Helen A. (Ritz) Keyser. 

            Mr. Keyser worked as a maintenance mechanic for Quakertown Safety Products, Quakertown, PA, for 20 years until retiring in 2010.

            A racing enthusiast, he loved NASCAR and dirt track racing.  He enjoyed tinkering with cars, especially his 1986 blue Chevy pick-up truck.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he owned a bass boat and was fond of fishing on Lake Nockamixon.

            He is survived by three children, William R. Keyser, Jr., and his wife Heather, of Millsboro, DE, Debra Ann Keyser Snider and her husband Thomas Snider, Jr., of Pennsburg, and Vicky L. Keyser, of Pennsburg; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Keyser, Sr. and his wife Joan, of Hereford, PA; two sisters, Diane Palencar and her husband Philip, of Red Hill, PA, and Linda Fries, of Kutztown, PA; and his companion, Wanda Roberts, of Quakertown.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Travis Moyer and Chad Matthew Keyser; and five brothers, Roland, Donald, Charles Jr., Robert and Gerald Keyser.

            A Sharing of Memories Service for Mr. Keyser was held on Wednesday, December 27th followed by a Graveside Service with interment in St. Stephen's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Perkasie, on Thursday, December 28th.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA  18944, to help defray costs for funeral expenses.
