The Pathways to Success Program is a PerkUp education initiative that introduces high school students to career opportunities. One component of the program includes on-site business tours to over 20 local businesses. The tours include an overview of the business with a focus on the variety of employment positions, employment expectations, benefits, career ladder considerations and required education/training.
The program also delivers "Ace The Interview", "Soft Skills" presentations, and mock interviews to Upper Perkiomen High School students.
This valuable experience provides firsthand exposure to career possibilities in various business sectors. In addition to learning about the local job market, students learn about the diversity of businesses in their community.
The 2023/2024 program was funded through a grant provided by Verizon. Verizon has continued its support of the PerkUp education initiative and has provided PerkUp Corporation with a grant of $10,000. The Chamber appreciates the support of Verizon.
