Andrew B. “Andy” Renninger
2023-12-14

Andrew B. "Andy" Renninger, 57, of East Greenville, passed away

peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 surrounded by his family at Lehigh Valley Hospice-17th Street. He was the loving husband of Wendy (Sweinhart) Renninger, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage this past June.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Ellen (Weller) Renninger of Barto and the late Linfred Renninger.

Andy was a 1984 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and was most recently working at Optimum RV in Pottstown. Prior to that, he was employed at Mayers Well Drilling in Quakertown and the H&K Group in Skippack as a mechanic for many years.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Green Lane and an active member of the East Greenville Fire Company, volunteering as a fireman for over 30 years.

He loved gardening, camping, fishing, boating at Blue Marsh and had a great love for animals; especially, dogs and horses. Most importantly, anyone who knew Andy, knew he had a big heart and an enduring love for his family. He was always helping people whether family, friends or total strangers; he was always there to lend a hand.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Renninger and Emily Kuberski and husband, Matthew; grandson, Cameron Kuberski and another grandchild on the way; a sister, Susan Dirsa and husband, Albert; and a brother, Thomas Renninger and wife, DeeAnn. He is predeceased by two brothers, Lynn and Joseph Renninger.

A night viewing will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A second viewing will be held the next morning on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service. A burial will take place in Frieden's Union Cemetery following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the East Greenville Fire Company, 401 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041.
