The Birches Named Caring Super Star of 2024
2023-12-13

The Birches at Harleysville proudly announced its senior community as a "Caring Super Star" by Caring.com, a leading senior living referral service and a top site for senior care reviews.

"We are grateful for all of our team members who go above and beyond to care for our residents, their families, and guests at The Birches at Harleysville. It is the loving care in all their daily interactions that makes The Birches a truly special place," Executive Director Justin Mason said.

Caring Super Star recognition occurs when a community has earned the Caring Stars award in three or more years. The Birches is a nine-time recipient, first achieving Caring Stars in 2014.

The trusted site's strict review guidelines and extensive audit uphold publication validity, giving reassurance and easy accessibility to honest reviews that seniors and families can rely on when searching for the right place with high-quality care to meet their needs.

Ann provided a five-star review of The Birches. She said, "You walk in here and you can feel the love. You can feel the friendliness. The whole staff is marvelous. Everybody's right there to help you if you need something."

Located in Harleysville, The Birches is top-rated for excellence in care, providing aging adults with extra support through its personal care services and specialized programs for residents living with memory-impairing conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The Caring Stars 2024 list includes 375 senior living communities in 36 states. In Pennsylvania, there are 20 Caring Star communities named over 13 counties.

"We would like to thank everyone who supported our community and helped us achieve this recognition as a 2024 Caring Super Star, and to our families and residents for the continued trust that they place in us in caring for them and their loved ones," Mason said.

For consideration, Caring requires that communities meet additional criteria, including an overall average rating of 4.5 stars or higher and published responses for any one-star or two-star negative reviews on their Caring.com profile; meet specific standards for review volume and recency; and have at least one five-star review published on or before Oct. 15, 2023. Caring also screened finalist communities using licensing information on the state agency websites, where applicable, and data publicly available.
