Caroline (Carol) Mae King, 91, of Red Hill passed away peacefully,
surrounded by family on November 20th.
Carol was born on April 28, 1932 to Evelyn and John Thatcher in Doylestown, PA.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, James King; her brother Donald; and her two sons, James King Jr. and Robert King.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley King and her partner David Brensinger; son, Thomas King; son, Michael King and his wife Deb King; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Carol, affectionately known as "Granny", was the #1 fan of the Philadelphia Flyers for her whole lifetime in addition to all Philadelphia sports teams. Granny won over everybody who was lucky enough to meet her. She was adored by her grandchildren. She spent most of her time reading books, watching sports, spoiling the family dogs, and "ramming around" with her beloved daughter, Shirley. Anyone who saw the two together knew the unbreakable bond they shared.
She was known for her wise phrases such as "don't take any wooden nickels" and "the older you get, the worse you get." Carol will be remembered warmly by many.
Funeral services will be private.
