Marilyn H. (Oppelt) Mosheim
2023-11-20

Marilyn H. (Oppelt) Mosheim, 86, of Zionsville, passed away surrounded

with love on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at her daughter's home in Barto. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Edward Mosheim, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2020.

Born in East Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lillian (Schwenk) Oppelt.

Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Upper Perk and then went on to complete schooling in cosmetology. Marilyn was a hairdresser in her earlier years but ultimately centered her life around her family and community. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband experiencing new countries and forming new friendships. They were lucky enough to travel to China, Australia, Brazil and many other places outside the United States.

Not only did Marilyn take pride in caring for her family, she gave her best to her community. She was active in the Upper Perkiomen BPW for over 50 years, a member of the former Jaycees and helped locally with Meals on Wheels program. She was also an avid golfer and belonged to many golf leagues throughout her life.

She will be dearly missed by her two children, Lisa A. Mosheim and husband, Paul Farrington of Barto and David E. Mosheim and wife, Marlene of Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Levi David and Marilyn Elizabeth Mosheim; and a great-grandson, Indiana Edward.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two siblings, Ruth Morris and Michael Oppelt.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041.
