Brian E. Bechtel
2023-11-13

            Brian E. Bechtel, 81, of East Greenville, PA, passed away from a recent illness on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Grandview Hospital.  He was the husband of Sandra K. (Cressman) Bechtel, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

            He was born in the East Greenville home he resided in, a son of the late Frederick and Mamie (Fluck) Bechtel.

            Brian was a graduate of Southern Lehigh High School.  He worked as a foreman for Boise-Cascade. 

            He loved golfing and watching birds at his home.  He was proud to have been a lifetime local as well as his many friendships there.  Brian was also fond of his pets, Heidi and Peanut.

            Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Jeffrey and wife Judy, of Quakertown; Dennis and wife Tracie, of Harleysville; Mark, of East Greenville and Melissa Mason and husband Robert, of State College; sister: Eileen Myers and husband Richard, of Coopersburg; grandchildren: Kayla, Jared and Eric.  He was also predeceased by a brother, David.

            A viewing will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St. East Greenville, PA.  A service will follow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Logan's Heroes Animal Adoptions, 9411 Kings Highway, East Greenville, PA 18041.
