Marlene M. (Skelton) Schoedler
2023-11-07

Marlene M. (Skelton) Schoedler, 82, of Macungie, passed away peacefully

on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at The Lutheran Home at Topton.  She was the wife of Donald E. Schoedler, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

She was born in Allentown to the late Leighton W. and Margaret E. (Klimek) Jones.

Marlene graduated from Allentown High School in 1959. In her earlier years she was employed as a telephone operator, worked for a Sheep Skin Store and Knoll. She retired from Lehigh Valley Health Network as a medical unit clerk.

Marlene was a strong, beautiful, dedicated Mother to her three children.  She enjoyed cooking and entertaining with her family and friends.  She loved to laugh and she made others happy simply by being around her.  She enjoyed her time traveling the country with her husband in their motorhome and their time spent living in Texas.  No words can express the love she had for the dogs that she cared for throughout her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Rebecca Skelton, Lisa Boyer and Andrew "Drew" Skelton and wife, Jessica; three step-grandchildren, Deborah Siegfried, Wayne Schoedler and wife, Lynne and Donna Casey and husband, Kevin; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to The Sanctuary at Haafsville, PO Box 921, Fogelsville, PA 18051 or online at www.thesanctuarypa.org.
