Edward Klavon Jr.
Edward Klavon Jr., 92, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on Monday,
October 23rd, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Klavon.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen Klavon.
After graduating from University of Pennsylvania with a Master's Degree in Education, Edward worked at North Penn High School.
Edward is survived by his sons, Timothy Graham and John Paul Sr; grandchildren, Justine, John Jr., Cameron, Morgan, Stephanie & Tyler; great grandchildren, John III, Jace, Lia, Harrison, and Ellie; and his nieces and nephew.
Edward loved nature and traveled North America to hike and bird watch with Barbara as his constant companion. His kind and gentle demeanor belied his fiery competitive spirit as North Penn's founding wrestling coach. Over the years, he amassed nearly 300 victories, guided several state champions, won the 1987 co-State Championship and Coach of the Year, and has been honored by several Halls of Fame. Most of all, Edward loved all his wrestlers and students and cared for each of them.
A celebration of Edward's life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA, 18073. Friends and family may call from 5:30 – 7 p.m. with a service following at 7 p.m.
