Emily M. (Bayley) Jett
2023-10-18

            Emily M. (Bayley) Jett, 76, of Bechtelsville, formerly of Pennsburg,

passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. She was the loving wife of Eric H. Jett, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

            Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Viola E. (Klinger) Bayley.

            Emily graduated in 1965 from Frankford High School in Philadelphia and after became a dedicated Teachers Assistant in Special Education for the Upper Perkiomen School District for many years, retiring in 2012. She was also a licensed beautician and hairdresser.

            She found enjoyment in taking trips to the shore and motorcycle rides.

            Surviving along with her husband, are a son, Edward Karpinski of Quakertown; two granddaughters, Ryan Ludy and Jordan Bechtel; five great-grandchildren; niece, Melody Barrett and husband, Arthur; and a nephew, Kenneth Bucker and wife, Leslie.  She is predeceased by her son, Matthew Karpinski; and siblings, William Bayley, Jr. and Joan Bucker.

            A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Family and friends may greet the family from 3 to 4:30 p.m.  A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Friedens's Union Cemetery, 1011 Church Rd, Sumneytown, PA 18084.
