Green Lane Park Hosts 12th Annual Bird & Wildlife Festival

Nick Brewster, Director of Education at Aark, a wildlife and rehabilitation center, holds up Elmo, a snapping turtle for the crowd to see during his presentation to the people attending Sunday's bird and wildlife festival at Green Lane Park. Jason Greer examins a skunk pelt, part of a display at the Green Lane Park exhibit on local wildlife.
Quinn and Mac Kennedy visit with one of the Pygmy goats on display in the petting zoo. Ann Lau Ward of Winged Wonders Education opens a cage to allow Monarch butterflies to take flight during a release.  The insects were tagged during the event to track their travel to Mexico.
