Charles “Bob” Learn
2023-10-03

            Charles "Bob" Learn, 81, of Limerick Township, passed away on Sunday,

October 1, 2023 at Pennsburg Manor. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Carla (Herricht) Learn, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage before her passing in 2010.

            Born in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Earl M. and Sara F. (Rhone) Learn.

            Bob was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School and was employed with CDI Corp. in Collegeville as a service and delivery man for many years. While Bob enjoyed his work and held many jobs throughout his life, his main passion was farming. He enjoyed living on a farm and loved farm animals. He took great pride in raising cows, goats, and chickens.

            In his later years, he enjoyed crocheting and knitting with his wife and found joy in being a member of the Cedarville United Methodist Church Quilting Club.

            Surviving are five daughters, Lori Egan, Theresa Daring (Steven), Karen Hitchcock (Glenn), Mitzi Miller (Steven) and Karol Hartzell; two sons, Lee Gebhard and David "Ricky" Gebhard; 21 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pollyann and Keith Learn.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by daughter, Lissa Learn; son, Robert Learn; and siblings, Mary Ruth, Leslie and Max Learn.

            A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a burial following in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will begin at 11 a.m.
