Joyce Ann (82) passed away on September 5, 2023 in Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem, VA peacefully after a long hard fought battle with declining health.

            She was the wife of the late David J. Holt of Virginia and the daughter of the late Lawrence and Leona Gilbert of Green Lane.

            She was a graduate of the Souderton Area High School class of 1959. She worked as a Radio dispatcher for the Virginia State Police where she met her husband.

            An avid bird watcher who loved helping with the bird and hawk count along the Appalachian mountains near her borne. She also loved feeding the birds in her back yard and inadvertently feeding local bears.

            She is survived by her brothers, James Gilbert and his wife Cindy of Kunkletown, PA and John Gilbert of Trevor, Wisconsin; also many nieces and nephews.

            There will be no services per her wishes. She and David's last wishes will be carried out by her brother John at a later date.
