Elinor "Ellie" (Schwartz) Taylor, 89 of Quakertown, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Township, PA.

            Ellie was married to the late Richard F. Taylor for 62 years when he passed away in 2015.

            Born in Hatfield, PA, Ellie was a daughter of the late Elmer S. and Ruth (Custer) Schwartz.

            Ellie graduated from Hilltown High School in 1951 and attended the More College of Art in 1952. She then went on to work as an office manager for over twenty-five years at Precision Finishing of Sellersville. She later became a travel agent for Hagey Travel and Tours in Souderton and then Odyssey Travel in Skippack until she retired in 1995.

            Ellie was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Telford and was also a member of the Indian Valley Junior and Seniors Club. She enjoyed going on travel adventures, painting, gardening, spending time with her beloved dog and cat, and playing BINGO.

            Ellie is survived by her children; Debra McGaughey and her husband Roger of East Greenville, Kathleen Walker and her husband Bill of Telford, and Barry Taylor of Huffs Church. Ellie also had eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and is survived by a brother, Gregory Schwartz (Connie). She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dolores Hunsicker, Nancy Nace and Beverly Linkenhoker.

            Funeral Services will be held on September 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 107 W. Lincoln Ave., Telford. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
