2023-08-28

Dale W. Fillman, 81, of Barto, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at home with his wife and son by his side. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Bader) Fillman for 60 years and loving father of James Fillman.

Born in Bechtelsville, he was the son of the late James and Sarah (Weller) Fillman.

Dale was employed with the former Boise Cascade, now Sonoco Products, in East Greenville for many years and also worked for Superior Tube in Collegeville.

After retirement, Dale found joy in woodworking. Using his woodcarving talents, he would shower family and friends with numerous gifts from his workshop.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Surviving along with his wife and son, are his two brothers, Ralph Fillman, husband of the late Elaine Fillman and Ray Fillman, husband of the late Dolores Fillman.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
