Larry E. Moyer
2023-08-24

            Larry Earl Moyer, 84, of Mertztown passed away peacefully on Friday,

August 18th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Gillespie) Moyer.

            Born in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Earl and Pauline (Strunk) Moyer.

            Larry was a 1961 graduate of Lehigh University where he majored in Finance and served as a class officer. He was also a proud member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He served his country honorably in the Marine Corp as a Captain following his college education.

            After his service, Larry became an insurance agent and financial advisor for Connecticut Mutual which merged with the Mass Mutual Company.  Larry was also a graduate of the American College of Financial Services where he obtained his CLU and CHFC certifications.

             He was a member of the American Legion, Post #184, Palm and the Allentown Chamber of Commerce.

            He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children: David L. Moyer, and his wife, Aleyda, of Haymarket, VA, and Suzanne Moyer-Outt, of Reisterstown, MD; grandchildren: Alexis, wife of Brandon Mabbitt and Ryann Outt; siblings: Timothy Moyer, and his wife Betty Lou, of Stroudsburg, Anne Louise Capri, of Tampa, FL, Bryan Moyer, of Penrose, CO, and Jeffrey Moyer, and his wife, Charlotte, of Ocean City, NJ.

            All are invited to a viewing from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070, followed by a Celebration of His Life at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest privately in the church graveyard.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the Lehigh University Football Program or to the church.

            The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
