Thomas H. “Tom” Shewell
2023-07-25

            Thomas H. "Tom" Shewell, 91, formerly of Perkiomenville, PA, passed away

on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at The Village of Lifequest where he had been residing. He was the loving husband of Jacqueline D. (Fogel) Shewell, sharing 65 years of marriage.

            Born in Green Lane, PA, he was the son of the late George H. and Myrtle (Snyder) Shewell, Sr.

            Tom was a graduate of East Greenville High School and then served his country as a Marine during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he became a structural steel draftsman, working for High Steel Structures and Fisher Steel in Pottstown; and eventually becoming a co-owner of Colonial Drafting.

            In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, swimming and running,

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Elizabeth "Beth" Brodie and husband, Dave of Lewes, DE, Thomas L. Shewell and wife, Corinne of Oley, PA and John P. Shewell and wife, Kimberly of Blackwood, NJ; four grandchildren, T. Nicholas Shewell and wife, Tiffany, Christopher Shewell and wife, Mel, Katie Shewell and Emily Shewell; and his sister, Margaret "Peg" Duklis of Pennsburg, PA.  He is predeceased by brothers, George, Jessie, Raymond and Richard.

            A graveside service will be held at 12 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 663 and Quakertown Rd, Pennsburg, PA. A visitation will be held prior at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
