Robert C. Christman
2023-07-20

            Robert C. Christman, 88, of Pottstown passed away on Wednesday, July

19th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Wilson) Christman, who passed in January of this year.

            Born in Kulpsville, he was a son of the late Chester and Mary (Gaugler) Christman.

            Bob was a 1952 graduate of Pennsburg High School. He began his career as a carpenter with his father. He then worked as a painter for 25 years for the former Firestone/Occidental Co, Pottstown. Later in life, he began his own business, C&H Builders, Pennsburg.

            Bob was an avid sports enthusiast. He played and was a referee for basketball. He scrimmaged against Wilt Chamberlain. He also enjoyed pool and played against Willie Mosconi. He especially enjoyed the Phillies and attended their Phantasy Camp.

            Bob was Worshipful Master twice for the Perkiomen Lodge, #595, F&AM.

            Surviving are his children: Sheree, wife of Lee Horn, of Douglassville, Scott Christman, and his wife, Jill of Lansdale, and Kevin Christman, and his wife, Heather, of Nokomis, FL; step children: Deborah (Ealy), wife of Daniel Moyer, of Quarryville and Paul Ealy of Pottstown; grandchildren: Devon, Ryan, Jonathan, Zachary, Jacob, Noah, Nathan, Daniel; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceassed by his siblings: Fern Gilbert, Betty Sweatt, and Evan Christman.

            A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Niantic Union Cemetery, 222 Niantic Road, Barto.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
