Martha J. Gehringer, 62, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at her home

in Bally.

She was the daughter of the late Paschal J. and Angela (Kehs) Gehringer.

She was a 1979 graduate of Boyertown Area High School and in 1983 graduated from Delaware Valley College with a degree in Dairy Husbandry.

She held various jobs in the dairy industry, including working for several publications.  These included Lancaster Farming newspaper, Holstein World magazine in New York, and The Dairyman magazine in California.

In 1993, she returned to Bally to run the family dairy farm and serve as primary caregiver for her brother John.  She was an avid photographer and enjoyed gardening and reading.

She volunteered her time and talents as a writer and photographer to promote Saint Francis Academy for many years.  She was an active member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church involved with many projects including the design and production of the annual church calendar which celebrated the beauty and history of the church.  In recent years she worked for Quigley Bus Service and cared for the parish cemetery.

She will be dearly missed by her seven siblings: Marian, Margaret, John, and Paul of Bally, Joseph and wife Dorothy of Barto, Jean McKee and husband Larry of Havertown, and Susan Clark and husband Richard of Monroeville, New Jersey.  In addition to her siblings, she will be missed by her beloved nieces and nephews Lisa, Jack, Matthew, Will, Charlie, and Megan.

Her church and family were most important to her.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday July 19, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Bally.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:15 at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
