Mast Roofing & Construction, Inc., a local roofing company based in Oley, has chosen this year's recipient of a free roof. Mast Roofing & Construction, Inc. received over 80 nominations this year, which is more than they have ever received in the 11 years of doing this program.
Michele Robinson, of Zieglerville, is the recipient of this year's free roof. It was installed on Thursday, July 6th – old roof torn off and new roof installed in one day.
Robinson has seen her share of challenges but is an amazing example of a steadfast faith in spite of it all. Her husband was diagnosed with cancer, and after a nine-year battle, passed away in 2019. Even before his death, they knew they needed a new roof, but the medical bills made that impossible.
After his death, Michele began saving up again, but this past winter a storm took out her electricity for 30 hours which caused her heater and water system to be damaged. Thankfully, her savings was there to take care of that, but the roof was once again put off. The roof is over 30 years old and is currently leaking, so this new roof will be a huge blessing.
Michele uses her home to help others and glorify God, often opening it up to people that need a temporary place to stay.
The entire company will be out at Robinson's house to complete the installation – it is a celebration indeed. Mast Roofing & Construction will post pictures of the Installation Celebration on Facebook and Instagram.
