William D. Gebert
2023-06-05

            William Drake Gebert, 73, of Perkiomenville, passed away peacefully on

Wednesday, May 31st, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Herrmann) Gebert.

            Born in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late Earl and Margaret (Drake) Gebert.

            Bill was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School.  During his senior year, he led his team to the Bux-Mont Championship.   He spent time coaching junior high football from 1979 to 1987.  Bill was inducted into the inaugural class of the UPHS Football Hall of Fame.  He went to Wake Forest University on a football scholarship and received a BA in Business.  During his senior year, his team won the ACC Championship.

            He went on to work at Goodyear, and then Fotomat before spending most of his career at Green Lane Tool & Die. Bill also enjoyed fishing and golfing with friends.

            Surviving with his wife, are daughters: Stephanie, wife of Richard Sell II, of Perkiomenville, and Aimee Gebert, and her partner, Timothy Fischer, of Phoenixville; grandchildren: Nathalie, Margaret, and Remy and his wife, Margaret, and a great-granddaughter: Charlie; and a brother: Gregory Gebert, and his wife, Melinda, of Sea Isle City, NJ.

            A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, August 19th at Macoby Run Golf Course Pavilion.  Please let the family know if you plan on attending by contacting Stephanie Sell at steph_sell@yahoo.com.

            The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Upper Perkiomen Touchdown Club (UPHS Touchdown Club c/o UPHS, 2 Walt Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073).
