Florence Marie “Floss” Kile
2023-06-01

            Florence Marie "Floss" Kile, 95, of Sumneytown, PA for 68 years, passed

away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Pennsburg Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel A. Kile, Jr.

            Born in Hatfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Elizabeth G. (Donahue) Nolen.

            She was a 1946 graduate of Hatfield High School and was employed at Sumneytown Pants Factory for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg, PA and a former volunteer at the Harleysville and Souderton Senior Centers.

            She was also a den mother for Sumneytown Cub Scouts. She enjoyed midget and sprint car racing and in her earlier years she loved to go dancing.

            She will be dearly missed by her two sons, Daniel Kile and wife, Carol and William Kile and wife, Sherry; three grandchildren, Jarrod Kile and wife, Mangit, Adam Kile and wife, Sandra and Ryan Kile and companion, Ashley; three step-grandchildren, Stacey Kulp and husband, Gordon, Hope Rickert and husband, Adam and Robert Nester, Jr and companion Tawana; ten step great-grandchildren; and six step great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by seven brothers and one sister.

            A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5th, 2023 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery in Pennsburg, PA. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip R.C. Church at 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
