Jerome G. Shelly of Pennsburg passed away on May 14, 2023 at

Montgomeryville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  He was 84 years old. 

            Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Edgar Shelly and Margaret (Freas) Nester. He was also the beloved husband of the late Etta Mary (Brower) Shelly.

            Jerome proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany while on active duty. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved shooting darts, playing Yahtzee, watching NASCAR, attending car shows, and visiting the mountains with his family. 

            He was also a member of The Green Tree Rod and Gun Club for 56 years and was one of the original members to form the club. He was also a member of various VFWs and American Legions.

            He will be dearly missed by his son, Jerry Shelly; daughter, Debbie Skilton (Daniel); nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Francis Wolfrom; brother, Ronald Shelly; and sister, Joyce Kulp.

            Funeral services will be private at the request of the family.
