Local school board races in Tuesday's primary election offer voters a wide range of candidates. With the option to cross-file, running on both the Democrat and Republican ballot, some races could be determined next week.
Ten candidates, all cross-filed and running for five open positions on the Upper Perkiomen School Board, are running under two different banners. Candidates running under the "Team UP for Education" are incumbent Peg Pennypacker, and Christina Brathwaite, Leah Cianfrani, Jacque Porterfield, and Karie Ulrich.
Running under the "UP to the Challenge" banner are Sara Bieber, Liz Fluckey, former Upper Perkiomen School Board Director John Gehman, Mike Long, and Trina Schaarschmidt.
All candidates have cross-filed and will appear on the Democrat and Republican ballots.
