Grace A. Freed, 97, of Green Lane, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 18,

2023 at her home.  She was the widow of the late Clarence L. "Snowball" Freed. 

            Grace was born in Hoppenville to the late Hebert C. and Verna Mae (Leister) Yerk. 

            She began her working years at Rosenau Mfg., Red Hill Pants Factory, Plummer Precision Precision Optics and Leeds & Northrup before working for many years as an assembler for Philco Ford in Lansdale, PA before retiring in 1998.

            Grace was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and the companionship of her dogs, Guinness, Hunter and Kiera.

            Surviving are her sons: Clarence L. "Butch" Jr. and wife Carol Gene and Jeffrey B. Freed, all of Green Lane; grandchildren: Travis Freed, Jackie Hunter, Terri Carpenter and Dale Freed; great-grandchildren: Sarah Carpenter and Wyatt Freed.  She was preceded in death by her siblings: Pauline "Polly" Freed, Daisy Parrish, Dorothy Meyers, Elizabeth Dickerson, and Lamar "Dutch" Yerk Sr.

            A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA.  Calling time will be from 10-11 a.m.  Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd., Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
