Upper Perkiomen's lacrosse team absorbed its first loss of the season Tuesday. Phoenixville utilized a strong second half to post a 14-9 victory in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.

Indians (3-1 overall, 0-1 PAC), who trailed 5-4 at halftime. Sitko posted two assists and won three draw controls.
Bettys had assists and won six face-offs for the Tribe, which is currently ranked No. 8 out of 26 teams in the District One Class 2A power rankings. Ava Hengevald registered eight saves, while Abby Davidheiser, Abby Orsini and Marianne Uber also scored.
Jaime Michaud delivered a game-high six goals for the Phantoms, who posted a 9-5 scoring advantage in the second half. Erin Reedy added three goals, and Kira O'Donnell scored twice.
The Indians posted their third straight victory late last week. Davidheiser led the team to a 17-9 win over Northampton on Friday, March 24.
Davidheiser scored a team-high four goals. She added two draw controls and picked up two ground balls.
Sitko and Bettys each finished with three goals. Sitko contributed two assists, won four face-offs, picked up four ground balls and forced two turnovers. Bettys forced two turnovers and won two draws for the Indians, Maggie Milkowich, Uber and Mia Schneider each scored twice for the Indians, who led 13-6 at halftime. Milkowich won five face-offs. Ava Senseny also scored.
The Tribe is scheduled to open its Pioneer Athletic Conference home schedule Friday afternoon against Upper Merion. The following day, it will travel to Easton for a non-league contest. A road game against conference rival Owen J. Roberts is slated for Monday.
