Eugene Earl Davis Jr.
2023-03-27

            Eugene Earl Davis Jr., 76, of Barto passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25th, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Ringler) Davis.

            Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Eugene and Mary (Lebo) Davis.

            He served his country honorably in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he was employed as a computer technician for Unisys in Blue Bell for over 20 years. After that, he became a signal maintenance technician on the Septa rail lines.

            He was a founding member of Community Bible Fellowship Church in Red Hill. Gene was also a member of American Legion Post #184 in Palm, and the Transportation Workers Union while working for Septa. Most recently, he was serving as the president of the H.B. Kohl Family Reunion.

            Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, Phillip and his wife, Carmen of Allentown, and Sean and his wife, Elizabeth of Red Hill; his daughter, Crystal Davis of Barto; his grandchildren: Benjamin Davis and his wife, Mary of Jersey City, NJ, Shayla Davis and her husband, Cole McCane of Philadelphia, Zackary Davis of Pottstown, Wessley Valentin of Allentown, Ashley Valentin of Allentown, and Lyric Schmidt of Breinigsville; his great Grandchildren: Alysia Valentin, Jiraiya Garcia, and a girl, soon to be born. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

            All are invited to a viewing on Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Community Bible Fellowship Church, 426 Main St, Red Hill, PA 18076. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. and officiated by Rob Vaughn. He will be laid to rest privately in Mount Zion Cemetery in Pottstown.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in his memory to Community Bible Fellowship Church.
