Bear Creek hosts the annual cardboard box race

Thirty-six teams completed in the annual cardboard box race on Sunday,

March 12, at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Longswamp Township.  Partici-

pants utilized only cardboard, tape, paint, zip ties, and their imagination to

create a varriety of themed sleds.

Members of the Bob the Sled team, front to rear, Carter Toth, Ezra Schreiner, Noah Schreiner, and Park Gemler Parker Gamler celebrate in the semifinal round.

Brad Wilkens, front, and Scott Moll, dressed as a hot dog, ride the winning entry, the Tyber Medical sled.

Maddie Consugar falls off the Mother Duckers sled while her

teammate, Jenn Kaltenbach hangs on.
