Kerry Lee Ziegler
2023-03-05

Kerry Lee Ziegler, age 73, of Pennsburg, passed away unexpectedly on

Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Born June 8, 1949 in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Mark and Hilda (Koffel) Ziegler.

Kerry led the praise worship team at church for many years. He loved playing his guitar and singing old hymns and always added his own pizazz to the songs. He would host "pickin' and grinnin' " nights at his house and spend many hours enjoying the company, the music and his guitar.

He was an avid bowler, a member of the Friedensville Church league since 1997. He bowled two perfect 300 games in 2012 & 2019. He loved fishing on his pond with his friends and his dog, Sunny. His home was a source of great pride for him and he hosted some fabulous Night in Jamaica parties there by the lake. He shared his love of both bowling and fishing with his grandchildren and even let Raegan catch the BIG CATFISH of the lake.

As a realtor for most of his life, he touched many lives and all would agree that he was truly a great man. They say great Dads get promoted to Grandpops, and PiPop sure loved his grandchildren. He made the trip to New Jersey twice a month for many years; first to pick up KL, then to visit KL, then in the last 12 years to visit his grandkids. He loved writing stories to read to the kids, throwing a football with the boys, teaching them all of his card tricks and goofy sayings!

Despite their protests, he loved sharing his love of old TV shows like Andy Griffith and Highway to Heaven with them. The end of the night would always end with sharing a good bourbon with Keith and KL and quality time together. He will be missed immensely by all of us. Until we meet again….

Kerry is survived by his daughter Kerrie Lynne Hartman and her husband Keith; grandchildren Lukas, Raegan and Chase; siblings Gerald Kim Ziegler, Linda Helmick and Sherry Ziegler.

Services for Kerry will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Indian Creek Church of the Brethren, 821 Main Street, Harleysville, where the family will greet guests from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kerry's name may be made to: Trump for President  https://www.donaldjtrump.com/%20 ; American Cancer Society Relay for life  https://secure.acsevents.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=relay.

Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.williamsbergeykoffel.com.
