Linford D. Landis
Linford D. Landis, 85, of Pennsburg, died Sunday, January 15, 2023. He
was the husband of Rhoda (Souder) Landis, his wife of 67 years.
Born May 2, 1937 in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Titus and Martha (Derstine) Landis.
Mr. Landis was a longtime member of Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville.
He worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring in 2006. In retirement, he enjoyed working part-time with Franconia Township. An avid motorcyclist, he purchased his first Harley Davidson at the age of 15 and enjoyed riding his entire life, especially with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Anita K. Kapusta (Jerry) of Harleysville, Lorie A. Danzenbaker (Dan) of Perkiomenville, and Mark L. Landis of Pennsburg; daughter-in-law, Marianne Landis of Harleysville; three grandchildren, Jayne Longacre (Quincy) of Quakertown, Jeremy Kapusta (Cory) of Sellersville, and Jennifer Lund (Paul) of Red Hill; six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Lightcap of Harleysville.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Landis.
Relatives and friends may call between 10 and 11 a.m. January 28, 2023 at Salford Mennonite Church, 480 Groffs Mill Road, Harleysville, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Linford's memory to St. Luke's Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
