Benjamin F. Hoffman
2023-01-10

            Benjamin F. Hoffman, 94, of Perkiomenville, passed away January 9, 2023. 

He was the husband of the late Cornelia (Goezel) Hoffman.

            Born in Graterford, he was a son of the late Mahlon and Jenny (Rawn) Hoffman.

            Benjamin served in the Army during the Korean War, for which he received a Bronze Star. After his service, he was the Parts Manager of Little's John Deere, in Zieglersville for 41 years.

            Benjamin was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Sumneytown. He was also a member of the Macungie Post of the VFW and the Palm American Legion, Post #184.

            He was an avid collector of beer memorabilia and was a member of the J.F.O. (Just For Openers) Club and several other collectors' organizations (BCCA, ECBA & ABA). He and his wife enjoyed going to flea markets and collector's conventions. They visited all 48 of the lower states in their travels.

            Surviving are children: Marlene Grow, and her companion, Gary Latshaw, of Boyertown; and Jeffrey Hoffman and his wife Heather, of Hatfield; grandchildren: Amy Grow, and Steven & Daniel Hoffman; and great-grandchildren: Brianna & Brandon. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, John and Claude Hoffman.

            A Military Committal Service will be announced at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to Freiden's United Church of Christ, 1011 Church Rd, Sumneytown PA 18084.
