Sidney J. Heflin
2023-01-05

            Sidney J. Heflin, 91, of Schwenksville, PA, passed away on Wednesday,

January 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Emerita "Emmie" (Cypironoski) Heflin, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

            Born in Schwenksville, PA, he was the son of the late John G. and Velma C. (Wean) Heflin.

            Sidney was a veteran of the United States Army, serving proudly during the Korean War. After honorable discharge, Sid worked in several different fields until he found his calling and began a career as an electrical engineer for JW Rex Heat Treat in Lansdale, PA for 65 years.

            He was a member of Perkiomen Lodge #595, F. & A.M. of Red Hill, PA and Warren Lodge #310, F. & A.M., Collegeville, PA and a 32nd degree Mason with the Scottish Rite, Allentown, PA.

            He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, crossword and sudoku puzzles, and was a fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies.

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Pamela Cornell; two grandchildren, Haleigh Geouque and husband, Zachary and Matthew Cornell; and his great-grandson, Jack Geouque. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, James Heflin; a sister, Hilda Kulp; and five brothers, Joyce, Archie, John, Chester and Wayne Heflin.

            Due to Sidney's wish, there will be no service at this time.

            Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
